Connecting Coaches, Parents and Athletes in good mental health.

Creating healthy sporting environments and recognizing when people, including ourselves, may need support is critical to overall health. Sports supports the development of positive mental health, and in turn, positive mental health supports good athletic performance. ‘Mental Health Literacy’ is a part of ‘health literacy’ that can be applied in all aspects of life, including sports.

    Benefits

    Good Mental Health for all

In the realm of youth athletics, coaches and parents are instrumental in supporting the mental and physical well-being of youth athletes. Our program goes beyond this by actively empowering athletes to take charge of their own mental health. Through fostering a shared understanding of mental health, dismantling stigmas, and facilitating access to healthcare professionals when necessary, our training equips coaches, parents, and athletes alike with the knowledge and tools essential for prioritizing and maintaining good mental health within the athletic community.

    • Create early identification of youth that may be struggling and link them to care.
    • Increase capacity to work with youth and promote positive mental health.
